Overview
note
The following content is primarily for Windows environments, except where we call out specific instructions that are for the macOS.
The Keyavi Portal is where you, the data owner, can manage Keyavi-protected data and access to it. However, if you're a Keyavi User or Security Administrator, you can also manage other users' data and define user settings. Keyavi Policy Administrators configure geolocation policies, offline access, and Intelligent Directory.
note
It’s up to your organization’s system administrator to determine what functionalities and components a Keyavi Administrator can access. Access to each component and functionality should follow the defined Keyavi Security Groups list below.
These are the user role types allowed to access the portal:
Role | Keyavi Security Group | Description | Portal Access |
---|---|---|---|
Read only | KEY_READ_USER_GRP | Download the agent, access Keyavi Web, and update profile settings. |
|
Full access | KEY_FULL_USER_GRP | Manage self-data and update profile settings. |
|
User Administrator | KEY_USER_ADMIN_GRP | Manage user access and user’s data, such as reassigning data to another user. |
|
Security Administrator | KEY_SEC_ADMIN_GRP | Monitor security alerts, revoke access (user, file, and device), restrict offline access, and view file chain of custody (forensics). |
|
Policy Administrator | KEY_POLICY_ADMIN_GRP | Manage cross-company policies, such as GEO policies, offline access, and Intelligent Directory. |
